START-UP APPLICATIONS DO YOU REALLY NEED ALL OF THEM?

Whether you wanted them to or not, more applications unnecessarily get set to load at start-up. After a while things will tend to slow down as it happen, even though Microsoft do their best to lower the boot time with each successive release of the Windows OS.

The reason for this is that all of these programs use a portion of the system memory and resources. For example, prior to optimized you may have over 30 programs running at start-up with the system resources at 60% and Windows took an age before it was ready for use. Post tweaking you may merely have a 10, with system resources back to over 90% and Windows was up and running within a minute.

It's not only start-up optimize your system can speed up; you can also make sure that your system shuts down faster.
